They contact and monitor hundreds of electronic sources, saving organizations time and resources. Clients can forward questions to the experts for a weekly forum and sharing among peers. Anti-theft Software<div class="body"> <p>ADT Security Services, Inc., of Boca Raton, Florida, has developed a software tool that allows retailers to share information about crimes to detect patterns and prevent future occurrences. A retailer can log information about the date, time, number of people involved, and the type and quantity of merchandise taken. The data is then transmitted to a central location for chainwide analysis or for sharing with other retailers, industry databases, or law enforcement agencies. The database allows retailers to respond faster and make preventative precautions more quickly. The data can also be shared with the Organized Retail Theft (ORT) Task Force at the FBI, leading to analysis of the information.</p> </div>
Document Verification<div class="body"> <p>Identity verification technology from Intelli-Check, Inc., of Woodbury, New York, has been added to the PassagePoint Visitor Management software systems from STOPware, Inc., of San Jose, California. Intelli-Check’s DCM/2 data capture module can confirm the authenticity of a government-issued identification document. Adding the module allows the visitor management software to better serve customers who must comply with federal regulations. The DCM/2 reads the bar code and the triple-track magnetic stripe from government-issued drivers’ licenses, military IDs, and other identity documents. It decodes the information and transmits the data via RS-232 to a variety of PCs, laptops, PDAs, and credit and POS terminals.</p> </div>

Part of the Prestige Slim-Line series of modular command consoles, the new units provide the perfect viewing position for any operator. A rear-mount slat track system provides operators with unlimited lateral and vertical viewing options. Single or dual pivot arms connect easily to the slat track system, allowing viewers to swing the monitor into position or retract it. The slat track also mounts on existing work surfaces.</p> </div>
