Safety View<p>​Rave Mobile Security of Framingham, Massachusetts, added two new features to the Rave Platform&#58; Rave Command View and Rave 911 Analytics. Rave Command View gives 911 managers and dispatchers interactive, map-based views of critical information, such as 911 call patterns and critical facility data during active emergencies. It provides integrated views of all 911 activity and gives first responders access to a 911 caller’s safety profiles, facility profiles, and Rave Panic Button activations. Rave 911 Analytics provides Web-based access to historical call reporting and analytics. The map-based view of data offers insight into call history and works on all call-taking platforms. Reports show call volume and activity by workstation, shift, hour, day, and week.</p>
Video Management<p>​VIGIL Central Management (VCM) 9.0 is software that enables users to monitor the status of VIGIL Servicers and V-Series Cameras from 3xLOGIC of Westminster, Colorado. VCM proactively informs inte­grators and end users of any concerns with their servers or cameras. It can be deployed for a single enterprise-level project or it can manage thousands of end users on the same system. It can reside in physical or virtual servers, inside or outside of a firewall, or in the cloud. Users can remotely deploy software up­dates and configuration changes. Mobile Encryption<p>​Route1 Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, Can­ada, launched MobiENCRYPT, a hardware solution delivering remote and local full disk encryption access that exceeds government and military privacy and se­cu­rity standards. It integrates with government-issued CAC and PIV identity card technology to offer true multifactor authentication. It provides pre-boot authentication that allows government employees to access their workspaces quickly without compromising security. MobiENCRYPT integrates with the MobiNET universal identity management and service delivery platform, which enables administrators to manage users and equipment with robust tools, including nonencrypted asset identification, key recovery, and remote key revocation.</p>
Hands-Free Light<p>​Invented by a police officer, the QuiqliteX Rechargeable Dual White Light is a hands-free LED light source from QuiqLite Inc. of Santa Barbara, California. Lightweight and compact, the QuiqliteX is designed to clip on the inside of a shirt pocket. A single on-off button, easily activated through a shirt pocket, operates the device. The first push activates a single white LED at 20 lumens to help preserve night vision. A second push activates a second LED and increases the light’s power to 75 lumens for both LEDs. Outdoor Monitors<p>​TRU-Vu Monitors, Inc., of Arlington Heights, Illinois, released a new line of Daylight Viewable LCD monitors, originally designed for the U.S. military, that will withstand extreme heat and cold, as well as travel over rugged terrain. The new VMMOB-19 Series 19-inch Daylight Viewable monitors are designed to produce clear, sharp video images, even in bright daylight. They operate in harsh environments from –22 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. They feature optical bonding and antireflective glass to improve image quality and to shield the LCD panel from physical damage. The rugged powder-coated steel enclosure and the company’s exclusive TRU-Tuff treatment ensure maximum resistance to shock and vibration.</p>
License Recognition<p>​Genetec of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, improved its IP-based automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) solutions. The AutoVu ALPR system automatically identifies and tracks vehicles accessing facilities. When combined with video surveillance and access control through the company’s Security Center, the system extends the reach of a security platform, allowing users to secure and monitor areas previously left unprotected, such as parking lots. AutoVu Managed Services, a turnkey, cloud-based solution, allows parking customers to outsource their IT hardware management requirements to Genetec. Mobile Video for Taxis<p>​VerifEye Technologies Inc., of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, expanded its AMOVI advanced mobile video product line to include new models that will address the specific requirements of taxi fleets. The AMOVI Taxi product line combines the company’s fleet solutions with mobile connectivity and cloud services. The solution offers immediate notification and review of road incidents and emergency situations, including live viewing; monitoring and scoring of risky driving behaviors; statistical data collection and tools for risk reduction programs; and cloud-to-cloud integration with cloud-based dispatch systems and hailing apps. AMOVI products are ONVIF Profile S compliant, so cameras are compatible with popular video management systems solutions. AMOVI Taxi is specifically designed to integrate with telematics and dispatch systems.</p>
Door Controller<p>​​Camden Door Controls of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, enhanced its CX-33 advanced logic door controller with the addition of a built-in Lock Down operating mode. This new feature will enable a designated momentary emergency lock-down switch or switches to disable automatic door activation switches, while also locking electric strikes or magnetic locks to prevent entry to a building, area, or room under intruder conditions. Lock Down mode is reset with a separate momentary pushbutton or key switch. Transmitter/Receiver<p>​Link Electronics of Jackson, Missouri, introduced the PFO-100-T&amp;R, a compact 3G/HD/SD-SDI or ASI fiber optics transmission system. The unit operates with single-mode fiber optics cable; multimode fiber optics cable can be requested for shorter transmission distances. The module features a built-in equalizer, cable driver, and re-clocker. The Link PFO series has signal jitter elimination circuitry to ensure high-quality signal transmission over long distances, with fiber optic cable on both the trans­mitter and receiver.
